Questions owners ask
Does it cost anything to sign up?
There is no charge to apply. The platform fee is taken from the nightly total of a booking, when a guest books.
Can I still use Airbnb, VRBO or Booking.com?
Yes. Calendar sync keeps all your calendars in step so you are not double-booked. You decide where to advertise.
Who sets my prices and rules?
You do: your nightly rates, seasons, minimum stay, house rules and one of three cancellation styles (flexible, moderate or strict).
How do I get paid?
You connect a Stripe account in the setup wizard. Payouts go there about a day after the guest checks in.
What about taxes?
Lodging tax is collected from the guest at checkout using a tax table kept for each state, county and town, and passed on to you. Ask your accountant how to report and remit it.
Who looks at my application?
A person at CodeMunch Labs. You can start setting up your listing at once, and nothing goes public until we approve you and the listing.
Do I need to use the lock or thermostat features?
No. Both are optional, and use your own Yale and Nest accounts.
